Such a development could push prices past the all-time high of $3,500, especially with ongoing geopolitical support. However, if the meeting is hawkish and Powell appears cautious about future cuts, gold could lose some of its shine as investors trim their bets on the Fed. Otunuga added that technically, prices are bullish on the daily chart. A strong weekly close above $3,430 could signal a move towards all-time highs at $3,500 and beyond. Weakness below $3,430 could drag gold back to $3,400 and $3,360.
